Effective July 11, 2026

Mere Correspondence mails paper letters. To do that, we need to know a small number of things about you. Here is all of it, in plain language.

What we know

Your name, your email address, and your mailing address — because letters need somewhere to go. If you give a subscription as a gift, we also keep the recipient's name and address, and the note you asked us to include. That is the whole list.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and never touches us; we see only what's needed to know your subscription is active.

Where it lives

Your details are kept in Stripe and in our own subscriber ledger, hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure in the United States. Both exist for one purpose: getting the right letter to the right mailbox.

What we do with it

We print addresses on envelopes, process payments, and answer mail you send us. Email from us is confirmations and logistics only — we will never email you a letter, and we don't send marketing funnels. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone, except the services that make the mailing possible: Stripe, Cloudflare, and the postal service.

Counting visits

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without following you around the internet. We know how many people visited; we don't know who you are.

Your say

Write to us any time to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. If you cancel, we keep your records only as long as needed to honor anything still owed to you, then they go.

Children

The letters are written for grown-ups; this site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
